We are sisters, Betty (bj) and Nan (n). We do custom quilting.

Although we live in different states, we have managed to create "bjn original" as a team by using mail and the internet. What did we ever do before email and digital cameras? Since we are sisters, the points of our ethics match perfectly; however, our individual talents are complementary.

After creating a "bjn original" design, Nan's talents place her at the sewing machine. Her piecing is nearly perfect ... points are sharp and corners meet. She has a knack for choosing fabrics that look like they were made especially for her designs. When necessary Nan also does machine quilting on "bjn originals".

Betty's talents place her in a comfortable chair ready to hand-quilt or hand-applique. Her neat, even stitches are amazing. She has hand-quilted many antique quilt tops for others, as well as working her magic on Nan's special designs.

Everything we create is truly a "bjn original". However, if you fall in love with one of our originals, we would gladly re-create it using your choice of colors and fabrics.

We've been creating "bjn originals" for nearly 10 years and we still find something new and exciting every day. Our love of fabrics and quilting shows in each stitch.
